Blackburn Rovers made it 22 wins from 23 FAWNL Northern Premier games with a 9-1 victory at Bradford City to go a massive 21 points clear, while Denham United became only the third side to deny Crawley Wasps a win.

Northern Premier winners Blackburn were pegged back at 1-1 by basement side Bradford but the visitors ran away with the game in the second half.

Falone Sumaili levelled for a youthful Bantams side but Rovers had turned it round to lead 2-1 at the break.

After a seven-goal second half, Natasha Flint had a hat-trick, there were braces by Lagan Makin and Sophie Charlton, one apiece for Natasha Fenton and Carra Jones.

Next-to-bottom Denham held Division 1 South East champions Crawley Wasps to a 1-1 draw but still need to win their final match to have a chance of escaping the relegation zone.

A deflected Lauren Cox strike looped up over Wasps keeper Lauren Graves to give Denham a shock lead and Crawley’s Suzanne Davies was denied by the crossbar in the second half, before a Kay Webber backheel eventually brought the equaliser.
