FA Girls’ Cup & Plate: Two teams reach semi-finals on penalties

Southampton, who eliminated FA Girls’ Youth Cup holders Arsenal in the previous round, reached the semi-finals with a penalties win over Manchester City.

Chelsea, Everton and Leicester City join the Saints in the semi-final draw.

Jessie Newton, Lucy Parry and Sharna Roberts all scored for Liverpool but the Reds needed extra-time and a shoot-out to defeat Reading in the Plate, winning 5-4 on penalties.

Eleanor Ashton scored five times as Manchester United eased past Stoke City, while Brighton & Hove Albion and Bristol City complete the last four line-up.
