Everton have signed Italy international striker Martina Piemonte from AC Milan on a two-year contract until the end of June 2025.
The 25-year-old becomes the Blues’ first summer signing after netting 14 times and registering four assists in just 24 appearances for Milan last season.
“I am so happy to be here,” Piemonte told evertontv. “What I want to achieve is put Everton in a position to win, working together with the manager and everyone else at the Club.
“I think Everton in investing in women’s football. They did well this year and will want to do even better in the future. I will also have the opportunity to play in one of the best leagues in the world.”
Piemonte admitted manager Brian Sorensen’s faith in her talents was a big factor in her decision to join his ever-improving squad.
“He believes a lot in me, and I will do my very best to return his trust,” added Piemonte. “He has a great project, and I will do my very best to score as many goals as possible and win together as a team.
Sorensen said: “Martina has every attribute you need to be an Everton player. Her physicality, composure on the ball and an eye for goal makes her an excellent addition to our squad.
“She is rich in experience playing in Italy but also experiencing a career abroad in Spain. It’s clear she is ready for the next step in her career, and I’m delighted she is doing that at Everton.”
