Leicester City Women’s 28-year-old New Zealand international defender CJ Bott has agreed a contract extension with the Foxes through to the summer of 2025.
A solid and consistent performer at right-back, the all-action defender has made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes and has provided valuable experience to Willie Kirk’s defensive line since her arrival.
A full senior New Zealand international, Bott has 34 caps for the Football Ferns and is in the squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Speaking to LCFC TV, CJ Bott said: “I feel great signing for the club. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. It’s incredible to see how far the team has come in that time and it is a really exciting time to be part of the Football Club.
“I think I’ve developed as a player here and this league is so competitive, so it’s definitely where I want to be. I really love the values of the Football Club and it’s something I’m really pleased to be a part of.”
