Scotland Women were 1-0 winners over Wales in the friendly international at Llanelli, where Erin Cuthbert got the only goal.

Jess Fishlock and 17-year-old Carrie Jones – on her full Wales senior debut – had chances in the opening minutes but  Cuthbert rattled the crossbar close the half-time and  and Kim Little couldn’t finish off the rebound.

Cuthbert did make the breakthrough in the 58th minute, capitalising on an error made by goalkeeper Laura O’Sullivan. This was quickly followed by an attempt from Emslie which just went wide of the goal.

Pushing for the equaliser, a fierce shot from Wales’ Natasha Harding was deflected over the goal by Rachel Corsie, while Sophie Ingle volleyed wide from the edge of the area.
