England are to welcome Czech Republic to Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex Stadium for a friendly on Tuesday 11 October.

The Czechs are an emerging force, having drawn twice with the Netherlands in their qualifying group for the World Cup. They also earned a goalless draw away to the United States in last February’s SheBelieves Cup.

England last faced Czech Republic in November 2019 when Bethany England, Beth Mead and Leah Williamson were all on the scoresheet in a 3-2 victory away from home.

The Brighton game will follow England’s Friday 7 October meeting with the US at Wembley Stadium connected by EE with both fixtures seen as vital to the squad’s 2023 FIFA World Cup preparations.

Head coach Sarina Wiegman said: “The World Cup has our full focus. It is great we will have challenging matches against two opponents who have very different styles of play, as we start the road to Australia and New Zealand. We have achieved so much this year, but we need to be thinking about where we want to be as a squad next summer on the biggest stage of all. I am also very happy we get a chance to go back to Brighton and say thank you to the fans who played such a big part in our EURO experience.”

Tickets will go on-sale to My England Football members at 12pm on Wednesday 7 September for an exclusive 24 hour window. General sale will start from 12pm on Thursday 8 September.

Prices start at £7.50 for adults and £5 for children, with discounts available for group bookings in Category 1 and 2 seats.
