Eddie Wolecki Black leaves Celtic Women

Celtic manager, Eddie Wolecki Black, is leaving the club after guiding the side to consecutive third-place finishes in the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League.

Wolecki Black told celticfc.net: ‘I have enjoyed my time immensely with the club and I wish the players and everyone at Celtic the very best for the future. I am now looking forward to taking on some new challenges but will always make sure I follow the Celtic women’s team. I hope the team at Celtic can go on and achieve some great success in the future.”

Celtic’s Commercial Director, Adrian Filby said: “We would like to thank Eddie for his contribution to the club. During his successful tenure, he has undoubtedly improved the standard and mindset of the first team, as recent results against all of our domestic rivals demonstrates.

“Importantly, Eddie leaves us with excellent foundations to build upon ahead of the exciting, next chapter for the women’s team in 2020 and with our very best wishes for success in his future endeavours.”

Celtic will now commence the process of appointing a new manager.
