Eastbourne Borough FC have formed a women’s team to compete in the Sussex County League in season 2021/22.
“This is an amazing opportunity for the club to be able to start a women’s team,” manager Richard Dyson told ebfc.co.uk.
“It’s a young team but we are excited to have come this far and also carve a pathway for the girls’ youth section.
“Moving forward, it will be great to see how the first season goes and strengthen, develop and grow as a team.”
Dyson will be supported in the National League club’s new enterprise by coach Tony Pollard, with Ellie Schuetze named club captain.
