Derry City collected their first victory of the season, away to Sion Swifts in the NIFL Danske Bank Women’s Premiership League Cup.
Aine McKeever rattled the Sion crossbar early on and moments later, Gemma McGuinness prodded home from a corner.
Molly McBride pushed a goal-bound effort onto the bar to keep her side ahead and they went on to double that advantage on 58 minutes with a volley from Caoimhe Walsh.
Sion lost keeper Niamh Mailey for the last few minutes, having reuired lenghty treatment after a collision with Derry’s Nicole Gordon.
Linfield booked their spot in the League Cup semi-finals when sinking Crusaders Strikers 7-0.
Kirsty McGuinness got the holders off to a flying start with a powerful shot that went in off the bar, and struck a second time from Megan Bell’s slide rule pass.
McGuinness then hit the post before finding Ali Smyth at the back post to head past Nicole Adams and make it 3-0.
The same pairing combined again for the fourth goal on 54 minutes, Rebecca McKenna then crossing for Chloe McCarron to net from the edge of the box.
The Blues scored twice more in the final couple of minutes through Louise McDaniel and Lauren Robson.
Glentoran Women powered through to the last four by thrashing Portadown.
Demi Vance scored either side of an Aoife Lennon effort on the way to a 5-0 half-time lead, as both Courtney Adamson and Nichole Duffy conceded own-goals.
Lennon’s second goal was followed by another couple from Vance to take her tally to four.
Ali McMaster knocked home a ninth, Rachel Rogan grabbed a double and Danielle Maxwell completed the scoring.
