Manchester City Women’s Demi Stokes has agreed a two-year contract extension that will keep the left-back at the club until the summer of 2023.
The 29-year-old, who joined Man City in January 2015 and earlier this season made her 150th appearance, told mancity.com: “I don’t take any contract renewal for granted, but especially right now, I’m very grateful and fortunate to have the opportunity to continue my journey here with this amazing team.
“It’s an exciting time to be a part of Manchester City and in my mind, I didn’t want to be anywhere but here – this club is home for me, and it was an easy decision to extend my stay.”
Head coach Gareth Taylor said: “We’re delighted to see Demi commit her immediate future to Manchester City as she’s been a big part of the club’s successes over the past six years.
“She is a very important member of the team and we’re looking forward to continuing our journey together over the next few seasons.”
Managing Director of Manchester City Women, Gavin Makel, added: “We constantly talk about having good people at the club and Demi is certainly one of those – humble, talented and determined with an infectious personality, as well as being a fantastic role model to everyone.”
