Manchester City will look to bounce back from their FA Cup exit when hosting Durham, who opened their group games with a draw against Manchester United before losing the shoot-out. City won their opening game 5-1 over Everton, who next take on Leicester City at the changed venue of Burton Albion FC.
Sheffield United have home advantage over Championship title rivals Liverpool, the Reds having begun by taking a bonus point against Aston Villa, whereas the Blades took a single point after losing on penalties to Sunderland.
The Black Cats visit Blackburn for Rovers’ opening game in the competition, after both sides enjoyed league victories at the weekend.
