Karleigh Osborne has been appointed Brentford Women’s FC Head Coach ahead of the new Greater London League season, which kicks off next month.
The 30-year-old, who worked with the Brentford Women during the 2015-16 season, returns after leaving Sky Bet League Two side Grimsby Town in May. He joins Development Team managers Nathan Mobey and Justin Ali in the coaching team as The Bees prepare for the upcoming campaign.
As a player, Osborne came through the ranks at Griffin Park, going on to make 175 appearances for The Bees over eight seasons, picking up a League Two Championship winner’s medal along the way.
Brentford Women had a mid-table finish last term so will again play in Division 1, while the Bees’ Development Team face a new challenge in Division 2 North having been promoted as runners-up.
The club are holding trials for players aged 16 to 35 on Wednesdays until 8 August, from 8.30 t0 10pm at Swift Road Outdoor Sports Centre, UB2 4RP. To register, email Amy Crook on acrook@brentfordfccst.com.
