Rangers have signed midfielder Chelsea Cornet on an 18-month contract from Hibernian, ahead of the 2020 SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League sesason.

The 21-year-old has 20 international caps for Scotland from U-15 to U-19 level.

RFC Women’s and Girls’ Football Manager Amy McDonald told www.rangers.co.uk: “We are delighted to secure Chelsea to a contract with the club from Hibs, where she will bring competition in the midfield area.

“She has played international football throughout the different age groups for Scotland and we know that she has the ability to play for the SWNT squad.

“She will bring experience from her time at Hibs, has won things already in her career and knows what it will take to get to the top.”

Cornet told Rangers TV: “I am really excited to get started, obviously Rangers is a massive club with great ambition and I am looking forward to being part of that.”

Meanwhile, Rosie McQuillan and Freya Macdonald have signed new contracts with the club.
