Celtic have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland youth defender Keeva Keenan, the 20-year-old joining the Hoops after a spell with Glasgow City.
Keeva previously played for Shelbourne in the FAI WNL and has won 10 caps for the Republic of Ireland at U-17 and U-19 levels. The highlight of her international career to date, was scoring an 86th-minute winner against England in the UEFA U-19 Championship qualifiers.
Keeva told celticfc.net: “As a Celtic supporter, I’m thrilled to be joining the club and playing alongside Irish internationalist Ruesha Littlejohn as well as the other great players in the squad.
“The standards in Scotland and Ireland are similar, but I’ve found the games to be more competitive here. I was looking for a change for the new season and am delighted to have signed for Celtic.”
Keeva is the second new signing as the Hoops prepare for the new SWPL season beginning next month, with Claire Adams having signed in December.
