Late goal rush sees Boro extend lead

Middlesbrough moved nine points clear at the top of the Northern Division but had to be patient at bottom of the table Guiseley Vixens.

Although the Northern leaders were ahead after only 3 minutes through Ellie Dobson, Fiona Worts fired the Vixens level from the edge of the box on 18 minutes and that’s the way it stayed until the last quarter of the game.

Boro bagged a quickfire brace when Holly Maders was first to a rebound and Emily Scarr netted their third.

Manders found the top corner from outside the area, with Millie Bell lobbing in the visitors’ fifth goal.
