Cardiff City LFC are four points clear of Chichester City in the race for the runners-up spot in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division, following Tuesday’s 3-2 victory away to Oxford United.
They were behind to fourth-placed hosts at the break though, Ellie Noble having cut inside to fire over the visiting keeper.
Cardiff struck three times in a dozen second-half minutes, Grace Horrell getting their first from close range on the hour mark, Kylie Nolan rounding Lucy Thomas to give City the lead and Gwennan Davies making it 3-1.
Gemma Sims powered a header home from a corner to give Oxford hope of rescuing a point, which they came close to doing so on several occasions, including a near own-goal until Poppy Soper made the save.
