Bristol City have signed 26-year-old goalkeeper Shae Yanez from National Women’s Soccer League side San Diego Wave.
Previously at London City Lionesses, she made a club-record 24 clean sheets in 72 appearances for the Barclays Women’s Championship side.
She also had another spell in the NWSL with Washington Spirit.
Yanez told bcfc.co.uk: “I’m super excited to be here and I’m really looking forward to getting started. “I’m glad we could get the deal done because it’s always been a dream to play in this league.
“I made the choice to go back to America but fortunately I’ve been given the opportunity to come to the Super League and fulfil that dream of mine.”
