Bristol City have signed Jamaican international forward Shania Hayles after she ended a three-year spell with Aston Villa.

She had a couple of seasons with Birmingham City before joining Villa and was an England U-19 international before committing to the Reggae Girlz.

The 22-year-old told bcfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited. I spoke to Lauren [Smith] then I came to visit and have a look around and I thought this was the place for me to come.

“I have had a lot of experience for my age at WSL level with top senior players but now I want to get playing and show people what I’m about. It’s about getting the goals, the assists and getting my confidence back to do what I do best.”
