Bristol City beat London City Lionesses 3-1 to go level on points with them at the top of the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Shania Hayles was played in by Aimee Palmer to give Bristol a 38th-minute lead but Lily Agg levelled by the break.

The lead was restored on 58 minutes, when Shae Yanez could only half clear a corner and Grace Clinton headed home.

The hosts soon added a third, Ffion Morgan stabbing home at the second attempt following Abi Harrison’s cross.

Bristol are now just goal-difference off the top, with a game in hand.
