Arsenal edged holders Manchester City 1-0 after extra-time to reach the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Final.
Laura Wienroither got through for the Gunners early on but Sandy MacIver turned her effort behind, while City’s Lauren Hemp came closest to a first-half goal when clipping the crossbar.
Arsenal’s Lina Hurtig hit the bar halfway through the second half, after Caitlin Foord had headed on a Katie McCabe cross.
Stina Blackstenius was denied by MacIver near the end of normal time but did get the only goal three minutes into extra-time, forcing home Hurtig’s cross.
