Brazil and CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina runners-up Chile qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France but third-placed Argentina must go into a play-off with a CONCACAF team.
Brazil topped the final group with a 100% record, defeating hosts Chile 3-1, then Argentina 3-0 and finishing with a similar score against Colombia as they won the cup for the seventh times in eight editions.
Four points from a 4-0 defeat of Argentina and goalless draw with Colombia were enough to seal a first ever World Cup place for Chile, as well as a play off with an African nation for the 2020 Olympics.
Paraguay were one of the sides to fail to progess from the 1st Round group stage but do have the consolation of making the 2019 Pan American Games. They finished above Uruguay and Peru in their section and with a better record than third-placed Group B side Venezuela, who ended ahead of both Bolivia and Ecuador.
