Bradford City WFC name new boss

Bradford City WFC have appointed Mark Brier as their manager ahead of the 2018-19 FA Women’s National League season.

The Bantams say that Brier brings with him a wealth of experience to the role, having spent almost 20 years coaching and managing in both the male and female game.

Those roles have included many as coaches at both pro and semi-pro men’s teams, with him gaining experience at County FA level in that time.

Brier’s first management role then came with Halifax Town Ladies, with whom he enjoyed two promotions to kickstart what has thus far been a successful career.

He would then move on to the men’s game to manage Liversedge, before his most recent stint with Brighouse Town. There, Brier won promotion to the Northern Counties East Premier League.

Currently, the former Halifax boss works for the FA as a Coach Mentor and is also a coach for the West Riding County FA Girls PDC and the England FA Regional Disabled (U-11 – U-16 mixed) Talent ID Programme.
