Billericay Town of the FA WNL Division 1 South East have appointed Scott Chickelday as manager, while Kim Coster is promoted to the head the women’s and girls’ pathway.

The club said that ‘Having built this part of the club up over many years, Kim is now focusing on the whole of the pathway to ensure that we have the ‘conveyor belt’ in place to keep bringing local talent through to our successful first team group.’

Scott Chickelday is a UEFA Licensed Coach who was formerly at Tottenham Hotpsur and QPR, spending 12 years in the academy system.

Speaking about the new appointments, BTFC’s Greg Lake told the club’s website: ‘We have made brilliant progress over previous seasons and had great success with our first team squad. However, Kim and I want to achieve even more. We want to remain the best Women’s and Girls’ teams in the county but also to reach the 2nd tier of the women’s game (the Championship) with our first team in the next few years. That will require consistency and an even greater level of professionalism. Not just in the first team squad but across all the players in our pathway. That is why Kim’s new role as Head of the section is so important. We are setting clear and ambitious new targets for the whole group and I’m very excited to see the results.’
