Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is running free football sessions in Osterley in partnership with West London NHS Trust.

These are available to women living in west London with no prior experience of playing football. The sessions also aim to support women who have mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression – using football as a mechanism to improve their wellbeing.

Chris Tribe, the football coach who runs the session, told “The aim of these sessions is to offer participants an opportunity to have a relaxed game of football, meet new people, improve their fitness and above all, have fun!

“These sessions are open to women of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, so even if you’ve never played football before, please come along.”

Lilianne Liger, who recently attended the session, spoke of the benefits of the session: “I had a really good time and I thought it was really well organised; the football coaching was brilliant and football is a great way to get some exercise.”

The sessions run every Wednesday between 11.30am-12.30pm at Osterley Goals Soccer Centre. For more information about the sessions, contact Michelle on 07949761104 or at
