The Football Association has today release the fixtures for the upcoming 2022/23 season in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
This season marks the first with Barclays as the title sponsor of the league, with a highly competitive campaign anticipated with Southampton FC having been promoted into the division from the FA Women’s National League, and Birmingham City competing in the league for the first time.
The campaign is due to kick-off over the weekend of 20-21 August – three weeks ahead of the Barclays Women’s Super League – and will see derbies in both the North East (Durham v Sunderland) and London (London City Lionesses v Crystal Palace) on the opening weekend.

Once again, selected Barclays Women’s Championship matches will be streamed live throughout the season on The FA Player, while match highlights will be available the following day for those matches not streamed.
