Manchester United have announced that Abbie McManus has signed a pre-contract agreement to join the club from neighbours Manchester City for the 2019/20 season.
McManus spent more than a decade with Manchester City, having returned after a spell at Sheffield LFC she went on to make over 100 appearances, helping the club to win one WSL title, two SSE WFA Cups and two Continental Tyres Cups.
The defender received her first England call-up in February 2018 and has been selected to be part of Phil Neville’s 23-player squad at the World Cup next month.
