Cadbury Ireland announce a three-year contract with FA of Ireland, continuing their support of the women’s game in the Republic of Ireland.
The extension will see the company continue to encourage engagement, participation and visibility in the women’s game from grassroots to international level through their Cadbury Supporter And A Half campaign.
Since the partnership began in October 2021, Cadbury has directly supported over 50 Grassroots clubs with training and facilities support including training sessions with team captain Katie McCabe and members of the Women’s National Team; Coaching the Coaches sessions with FAI officials; direct financial support to clubs including its Grounds For Change campaign which gave equipment and upgraded pitches to three clubs in Donegal, Dublin and Cork; as well as nationwide marketing campaigns and many more prizes to help clubs drive women’s football.
Speaking at the partnership extension, Managing Director of Mondelez Ireland, Eoin Kellett, said: “At Cadbury, we are committed to supporting women’s football from grassroots to international level so are delighted to be renewing our partnership with the FAI today. We’ve seen the Irish Women’s National Team go from strength to strength this year, from qualifying for their first major tournament in Australia to continuing to succeed in the recent Nations League campaign.”
Excited to announce the contract renewal, Eileen Leahy, Brand Manager for Chocolate and Football, Mondelez Ireland, also said: “Cadbury is a brand aligned with generosity, and Cadbury Become A Supporter And A Half carries the essence of that. The aim of our campaign has always been to spotlight women’s football at all levels and drive participation nationwide.”
