Rangers remain top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League on goal difference after hitting Partick Thistle for six, Glasgow City scored four at Hibernian.
Hearts 2-0 Dundee United
Hibernian 0-4 Glasgow City
Partick Thistle 0-6 Rangers
Kayla McCoy and Brogan Hay gave Rangers a two-goal cushion at half-time against Partick Thistle. They added four after the break, with one apiece for Chelsea Cornet, Lizzie Arnot, Lisa Martinez and Dina Orschamann, making it five wins in a row.
Glasgow City boast a similar record and were two up at Hibernian in only seven minutes, Lauren Davidson netting the rebound from Kinga Kozak’s effort against the bar, followed by an own-goal from a Hayley Lauder corner. Emily Whelan headed home a cross from Megan Foley and Kozak completed the scoring in first-half added time. Hibs missed the chance to get back into the game on the hour, as Erin Clachers saved Siobhan Hunter’s penalty. City’s Mairead Fulton was also denied from the spot, as Benne Håland made the save.
Hearts substitute Georgia Timms took just four minutes to give her side the lead over Dundee United and shortly afterwards the advantage was doubled with a Katie Rood penalty. Captain Georgia Hunter made her 100th appearance for the club, who sit fourth in the table.
