Defender Louise Quinn joins Birmingham City Women from Fiorentina on a two-year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 30-year-old helped the Viola to finish fourth in the 2020/21 Italian Serie A, she has also previously played for Arsenal over three years, winning the Conti Cup and WSL title.
Internationally, Quinn has more than 80 caps for the Republic of Ireland and in 2019 was named the FAI’s Women’s Player of the Year.
Quinn told BluesTV: “I am really happy to be back in the WSL and to join a club like Birmingham. It is brilliant to be back and I’m looking forward to getting going.
“What the club offers, what it does and what it believes in, it is a battling team and I’m an Irish girl who’s always up for a battle.
“When the offer came around I just thought it was a great opportunity for me.”
