FA Women’s Championship awards for February saw Leicester City’s Paige Bailey-Gayle become Player of the Month and Aston Villa’s Gemma Davies receive the managerial honour.
Eighteen-year-old Bailey-Gayle saw off fellow nominees Shania Hayes (Aston Villa), Jade Pennock (Sheffield United) and Vanessa Susanna (London City Lionesses) to win the award.
She struck two fantastic goals to see the Foxes come from behind and knock top-flight Reading out of the Women’s FA Cup, setting up a massive tie at home to Manchester City on 15 March.

Gemma Davies is the LMA Manager of the Month in the FAWC for the third time this campaign, after back-to-back wins, seven goals scored and none conceded, leaving them unbeaten in the league for 18 games stretching back to last season.
Davies told avfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of our team of dedicated staff and players who work tirelessly on a daily basis to make sure we can continue to push ourselves further.
“We are starting to see the outcome of our hard work this season that wouldn’t have been possible without the foundations built last season and we will continually strive to improve what we do together as a team.”
