Sheffield United Women have added vastly experienced centre-back Leandra Little to their squad for the 2019/20 season.

The 34-year-old joins after a year where she was club captain for Liverpool in the FAWSL, following a four-year spell at Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Little previously played with Blades head coach Carla Ward at Lincoln Ladies over 10 years ago and the pair will now be reunited at Olympic Legacy Park this season, something which Ward is thrilled about.

“We are delighted to be bringing in Leandra, she brings a huge amount of invaluable experience and quality to the team, and someone who the players will learn an awful lot from.”

Little commented: “When I met with Carla and she set out the vision for this squad and the club as a whole not just for this coming season but for the future it was something I wanted to be a part of.

“We have high expectations this season and I can’t wait to get going now!”
