Tottenham Hotspur Women are to play their home matches at The Hive Stadium, the home of Barnet FC and London Bees FC, from the start of the 2019/20 season.

Following promotion to the FAWSL, agreement has been reached for Tottenham’s home WSL fixtures and cup ties to be held at the 6,500-capacity venue in Edgware.

If scheduling permits, a home fixture will also be staged at the new Spurs stadium.

Heather Cowan, Tottenham Hotspur Head of Women’s Football, told the club’s website: “After earning our place in the top tier of the women’s game, we’re thrilled to be taking another big step forward by heading to The Hive to play our home matches. The facilities are progressive and modern and will give us a brilliant base to work from as we embark on our first season in the Super League.

“We would also like to place on record our thanks to Cheshunt FC, who have hosted our home matches in recent years as we’ve worked our way up to this point.”
