Pauline Hamill’s Scotland U-19s today lost their opening UEFA U-19 Championship Elite Round game in Oriam, 2-1 to the Czech Republic.
The first half was goalless but 2 minutes before the break Brogan Hay broke through the heart of the defence, only for her shot to be turned behind for a corner by goalkeeper Katerina Zuchova.
The hosts fell behind on 58 minutes, Eartha Cumings making a great save but unable to keep out the rebound from Kamila Dubcova.
Ellis Notley made a crucial block to stop the Czechs doubling their advantage but after a breakaway move on 75 minutes, Andrea Staskova did get their second.
