England made it three wins from three in their UEFA Women’s U-19 Championship qualifying group with a 4-0 defeat of Slovakia, having already booked their Elite Round berth.

Rehanne Skinner’s side were well on their way to finishing top of the table when Lucy Fitzgerald scored after only 2 minutes at SRP Trate Nedelišće this morning.

It remained 1-0 at half-time despite England winning eight corners.

Jessica Naz had a good chance to double the lead early in the second half but approaching the hour mark, a ball from Poppy Pattinson forced an own-goal by Diana Lemesova.

Straight after a couple of attempts by Fitzgerald, substitute Gabriella Ravenscroft made it 3-0 in the 77th minute with the help of Jessica Park, who was herself denied by the post moments later.

Ravenscroft got her second goal deep into added time after being set up by Aimee Palmer.

The Elite Round draw is on 23 November, with Scotland hosting the finals from 16 – 28 July 2019.
