#WPWL: Two goals between top three

Cardiff Met lead both Abergavenny and Swansea City on goal-difference after week two of the Orchard Welsh Women’s Premier League.

WPWL results – Sunday 4 October

Swansea City 4-0 Port Talbot Town

Cardiff Met were 5-0 winners over newcomers Cascade, scoring four times in the first half-hour.    Chloe O’Connor hit a hat-trick, Emily Richards with the other, before Jodie Passmore completed the scoring midway through the second half.

Abergavenny sit second following a 6-1 success at Briton Ferry Llansawel. Mali Summers and Lyndsey Davies netted in each half, Sian Bull and Eliza Atkins added one apiece, while Rebecca Rees replied late on.

Reigning champions Swansea City saw off Port Talbot Town 4-0 with a couple of quickfire doubles. Stacey John-Davis’s opener was followed three minutes later by a goal from Chloe Chivers, and moments after Kelly Adams got the third, Chivers rounded off the scoring with her second,

Cyncoed got off the mark with two goals in the last 17 minutes against Aberystwyth Town. Seren Watkins broke the deadlock and Alison Witts made sure of the win in the last minute of normal time.
