Six-goal Cardiff City FC secured at least a third-place finish in the Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League.

Cardiff City FC blew away Briton Ferry Llansawel, with five of their six goals coming by the 36th minute.

Zoe Atkins struck twice and Phoebie Poole’s hat-trick came in a 20-minute spell, completed with a penalty.

Catherine Walsh rounded off the scoring 10 minutes after the interval.

Cascade got off the bottom at the expense of Aberystwyth Town, whom they edged 2-1. 

Daisy Evan-Watkins gave them the lead from the spot, Mia Kemp doubling the lead six minutes before Flavia Jenkins gave the visitors some hope.

There’s a re-match on Wednesday in a League Cup tie, with a semi-final berth at stake.
