Six FA WNL Division 1 sides eliminated Premier opponents in the Women’s FA Cup 2nd Round, including penalties wins for both Southampton sides.

Southampton FC knocked hosts Yeovil Town out of cup competition for the second successive Sunday and rivals Southampton Women’s put out MK Dons, also in a shoot-out.

Ipswich Town hit Chichester City for six with Natasha Thomas twice on target, Barnsley put four past Sheffield FC with three of those by Laura Bartup, Actonians accounted for Crawley Wasps who are second in the division above them and Billericay Town edged out Gillingham 2-1.

Plymouth Argyle progressed in a seven-goal thriller at Oxford United, the Pilgrims were behind in extra-time but goals by Helen Bleazard and Kayley Lane turned it round.

Nottingham Forest came out on top in the East Midlands derby despite letting slip a 2-0 lead, Precious Hamilton hitting an 86th-minute decider.

Fylde got the only goal at Wolves in the opening 10 minutes through Emily Hollinshead, Watford went through 3-0 at Keynsham Town and Cardiff City Ladies overcame Hounslow 6-0.

The third round draw will be made live on talkSPORT 2 radio on Monday from 11:30am.
