Hearts won 2-0 victory at Dundee United on Saturday with goals from Ciara Grant and Jenna Penman, Aberdeen’s Bayley Hutchison and Mya Christie netted for a similar result against Hutchison Vale 2-0, St Johnstone won at Dryburgh by the same score aided by a Becky Cameron penalty save.
Glasgow City defeated Hamilton 4-0 with Bea Prades Ines, Erin Greening, Hayley Lauder and Kinga Kozak on target, holders Celtic netted nine at Falkirk including an Amy Gallacher hat-trick, Rangers went two better against Stirling University with Jodi McLeary contributing three goals.
Hibernian beat local rivals Spartans with efforts by Kirsty Morrison, Eilidh Adams and Ava Kuyken, Motherwell were also 3-0 winners over Gartcairn as Kaela McDonald-Nguah, Katie Rice and Carla Boyce found the net, Partick Thistle were another to secure a three-goal winning margin in their tie at Queen’s Park.
Rossvale knocked out Central Girls, East Fife came from behind to beat Grampian 6-2, Glasgow Women were 5-1 victors over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Mhari Smith got five of Boroughmuir Thistle’s 11 goals against Edinburgh Caledonia, Montrose made it a dozen over visitors Bonnyrigg Rose as Charlotte Gammie and debutant Lauren Gordon both clinched trebles.
