Wymondham Town are on the verge of winning the Eastern Women’s Regional League and promotion to the FA WNL.
EASTERN – Wymondham take big step toward promotion
Premier – Wymondham Town went 15 points clear after a 2-0 defeat of second-placed Royston Town, leaving them needing one point from three games to seal the title and a first ever promotion to the FA WNL. Bedford’s Natasha Fensome hit a hat-trick in the 4-1 midweek win at St Ives Town that lifted them to third, Luton Town were held 3-3 at home by Haringey Borough whose Shakira Kafero-Roberts bagged a brace, while AFC Dunstable’s first victory of the season came 1-0 at Bowers & Pitsea.
1 North – Needham Market stayed top by five points with a 4-1 win over Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses, second-placed Newmarket Town beat Haverhill Rovers 4-0.
1 South – Herts Vipers have a three-point cushion after seeing off AFC Sudbury 2-0 in a top of the table clash, Leigh Ramblers beat Billericay Town DS 3-0 to move second and Cheshunt are third after defeating Barking 5-2.
EAST MIDLANDS – Stags knockout Foxes in goalfest
1 North – Arnold Eagles took top spot from Grimsby Town when winning 3-0 at Sleaford Town, where Natasha Leach scored twice.
1 South – Oadby & Wigston’s 5-3 result against Coalville Town featured a Lily Cocking treble.
League Cup – Sherwood 0 – 8 Notts County netted eight at Sherwood from as many different scorers to make the last four, Derby County Academy defeated hosts Loughborough Students 4-1 and Northampton Town knocked out Nottingham Forest DS 2-0.
League Plate – Mansfield Town’s Ellie Marshall netted four in an 8-4 extra-time victory at Loughborough Foxes Vixens to reach the semi-finals. Anstey Nomads went through 2-0 at Grimsby Town, Rotherham United had a walkover against Leicester Road.

League Cup – Worthing won 2-1 at unbeaten league leaders Ashford Town (Middx) to make the quarter-finals, Dorking Wanderers saw off Saltdean United 4-2 after extra-time with braces by Xayla-Rae Alberts and Charlotte Keenan, Dartford went through with a similar result after 90 minutes at Dulwich Hamlet. Fulham’s Georgia Heasman notched a hat-trick in the 5-1 result at Whyteleafe, New London Lionesses were 3-0 winners at Denham United, Hastings United beat Hackney 4-1 and Millwall Lionesses had a walkover in the tie with Welling United.
League Trophy – Herne Bay’s Lauren Williams came off the bench to get the only goal at Meridian, Brentford subs Chloe Logie and Jodie Reid scored in a 3-1 extra-time win over Parkwood Rangers, Sport London E Benfica edged out Maidstone United 3-2 and Ashford Ladies made the last eight with as many goals against Clapham United.
NORTH EAST – York City extend lead
Premier – York City’s 4-1 win over Wakefield Trinity sent them nine points ahead of the rest, Harrogate Town are second following a 5-2 sinking of South Shields, Hartlepool United beat Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 in the basement battle.
1 North – Blyth Town held the leadership with a 3-1 result against Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves, Boro Rangers still three points behind with a game in hand after beating Guisborough Town 3-0 with a double from substitute Abigail Phillips. Bishop Auckland ran out 7-1 winners over Prudhoe Town to go fifth, level on points with both Washington and Spennymoor Town who drew 1-1.
1 South – Altofts gained ground on the leading pair with a 3-0 beating of Barnsley FC Ladies, Farsley Celtic Juniors are fifth following an 11-1 thrashing of hosts Bradford Park Avenue as Sarah Lawn led the way with five goals, Shauna Hill contributing a treble.
NORTH WEST – Tranmere gain ground on Merseyrail
Premier – Tranmere Rovers’ 5-1 win over Cheadle Town Stingers has them within four points of leaders Merseyrail but from two games more. Mossley Hill’s match with Fleetwood Town Wrens was abandoned after 35 minutes as the pitch had become unplayable.
1 North – Blackburn CSC extended their advantage to six points when defeating Penrith 3-1, Haslingden won by the only goal at Morecambe.
1 South – Curzon Ashton lead by four points after putting four past Runcorn Linnets, Hindley won by the same score at Alder and Mersey Valley drew 2-2 with visiting Wythenshawe Amateurs.
SOUTHERN – Abingdon United go top
Premier – Abingdon United took back the top spot from Moneyfields after defeating Eastleigh 2-0, Ascot United beat Abingdon Town 4-2 to leapfrog them into third place.
Division 1 – Woking held second-placed Bournemouth Sports 2-2, New Milton Town beat Abbey Rangers 2-1, Chichester City won by the same score at Milton United, as did Southampton Women’s Reserves at Eversley & California.
League Cup – Oxford City made the quarter-finals on sudden-death penalties against lower division AFC Stoneham, eventually winning the shoot-out 8-7 after a 2-2 tie.
SOUTH WEST – Gas Girls go within one point of title

Premier – AFC St Austell beat leaders Sherborne Town 2-1, as Ilminster Town closed in with a 3-0 victory at Marine Academy Plymouth. Torquay United got the sole goal in the game with Forest Green Rovers, Middlezoy’s Chloe Snook scored twice in a 2-2 tie at Bishops Lydeard and Royal Wootton Bassett Town walloped hosts Bideford 18-0 as Libby Davies claimed a double hat-rick and Lani Dickinson a five-goal haul.
1 East – Swindon Town DS missed a chance to go top when beaten 1-0 at home by Chipping Sodbury Town, both teams finishing with ten players after the visitors’ Jodie Hood and hosts’ sub Summer Williams were sent off. Elsewhere, Warminster Town were 6-2 winners over AEK Boco.
1 North – Bristol Rovers hit Cheltenham Town DS for six and now just need one point from two games to secure the title. Frampton Rangers won 4-1 at Weston Mendip, Downend Flyers 2-0 at Weston Super Mare.
WEST MIDLANDS – Crusaders edge nine-goal thriller
Premier – Lichfield City were leading Kidderminster 4-1 with three second-half goals when the game was abandoned on 75 minutes due to a serious injury to a Harriers player. If the result stands, City will stay top on goal-difference ahead of Sutton Coldfield Town, who sank City of Stoke 8-0. Stourbridge put ten past Coundon Court to keep up the pressure despite a red card for Courteney Murphy, Crusaders gained ground on fourth-placed Lye Town whom they beat 5-4 at home. Redditch United’s Jade Guppy struck twice in a 3-1 result over Coventry Sphinx, Worcester City won 2-0 at Tamworth.
1 North – Shrewsbury Town lead by five points following a 4-0 defeat of Port Vale and Shifnal Town going down 2-0 at home to AFC Telford United. Sandwell’s 5-1 win over Walsall Ladies included a 30-minute hat-trick from Phoebe Hopwood.
1 South – Solihull Sporting netted a dozen past Droitwich Spa, Lauren Smith topscoring with three to keep them top on goal-difference. Demi-Lee Rolph made the difference for second-placed Knowle, with the only goal at Rugby Town.
