West Ham United Women have signed 29-year-old Scotland international Lisa Evans on loan from Arsenal until the end of the 2021/22 season.
A versatile player who is capable of playing at wing-back and in midfield, Evans has clocked up 79 appearances for the Gunners in four seasons and has also earned 83 caps for Scotland.
Evans told West Ham TV: “I’m really looking forward to the season ahead with West Ham United.
“The move came about pretty quickly and when I saw the facilities and met the staff and some of the girls here at the club, it was an opportunity that was too good to turn down. I’m really excited for the season ahead.
“It’s a really close-knit group here and everyone has been so lovely in welcoming me to the club, so I’m really looking forward to what we can achieve going forward.”
Manager Ollie Harder told whufc.com: “We feel as though Lisa is somebody who adds a lot of value from an attacking aspect with her directness and her pace going forward.
“She has the personality and drive that we’re looking for here, and we hope that she will be able to help us move forward this season.”
