Watford FC Women have signed attacker Amber-Keegan Stobbs after she left fellow Championship side Crystal Palace.
Stobbs, who made 17 appearances for the Eagles last season and joins the Hornets following their promotion, told watfordfc.com: “It’s a really exciting time for the club. As soon as I spoke to Watford, deep down I knew it was where I was going to be, it was just a case of getting things in place and having the conversations.
“To be honest, as soon as I spoke to Clinton [Lancaster] I was like, ‘This is where I want to be’.”
Also a former player for Reading, Everton, West Ham and Charlton Athletic, she added: “What I do like about Watford is I always think there’s a real togetherness already. I’ve seen that over the years as an outsider, so that will take us far.
“It’s about getting the right people in and being the right team through pre-season and hitting the ground running when we are in the league.”
