Wales Women to host Denmark at Cardiff City Stadium

Wales’ opening UEFA Women’s Nations League home match against Denmark on 26 September will take place at the Cardiff City Stadium, reports faw.cymru.

Record crowds were witnessed three times at the Cardiff City Stadium during the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign, including 15,200 fans for the play-off semi-final against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Gemma Grainger’s side’s participation in the inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign begins in League A in September, with Wales drawn against Germany (ranked 2nd), Denmark (13th) and Iceland (15th). The campaign will start away to Iceland on Friday 22 September before the home fixture against Denmark five days later.

Tickets for the match against Denmark will be available from 10:00 Thursday 6 July on the FAW ticketing website.
