The Vitality Women’s FA Cup Semi-Finals weekend is almost upon us, with Wembley Stadium the destination for the winners.
Saturday 16 April
West Ham United v Manchester City (Dagenham & Redbridge FC, 12:15pm)
Sunday 17 April
Arsenal v Chelsea (Boreham Wood FC, 12:30pm)
Both ties will be live on BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport Website.
In-form Manchester City return to Dagenham, where they won 2-0 against West Ham in the WSL just a fortnight ago, Georgia Stanway and Khadija Shaw the scorers.
The Hammers had also won 2-0 on their travels back in October, when Dagný Brynjarsdóttir and Yui Hasegawa scoring to add to the Cityzens’ problematic first half of the campaign.
Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea has sold out and the pair have had three meetings already this season with mixed results, as well as the pre-season game won 2-1 by the Gunners.
The season opener at the Emirates saw Beth Mead add a brace to Vivienne Miedema’s goal, while Erin Cuthbert and Pernille Harder hit back for Chelsea in a 3-2 Arsenal victory.
The Blues triumphed in the delayed 2020-21 Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final by three goals to nil, as Sam Kerr struck twice and Fran Kirby once but the London rivals more recently played out a goalless WSL draw at Kingsmeadow.
The final is on 15 May, with tickets available here.
