Aston Villa 2-1 Oxford United (Att: 306)
Oxford took the lead away to Aston Villa but eventually succumbed as the hosts netted their first league points of the campaign.
United’s Ini Umotong found the net from distance with only 7 minutes played and was later denied a second by the crossbar.
But Katie Wilkinson also struck from range to level the match 5 minutes before the break.
The winner came on 70 minutes after Frampton was penalised for handball and although Wilkinson’s penalty was saved by Demi Lambourne, Beth Merrick was on hand to turn in the rebound.
Millwall Lionesses 2-2 Everton (Att: 175)
Millwall and Everton are the top two in the table with 4 points each from their opening couple of games but the Lionesses had been headed for back to back wins when two up over the Toffees at Dartford FC.
All the goals came in the second half, the hosts scoring twice in a five-minute spell as Leighanne Robe headed home after an Ashlee Hincks free kick was not cleared, then Fliss Gibbons won a penalty and Hincks slams the spot kick in.
The visitors got back into the game on 72 minutes when Channy Boye-Hlorkah’s 20-yard effort gave keeper Sarah Quntrill no chance.
Everton also struck twice in the space of 5 minutes, with Simone Magill able to hold off Naomi Cole’s challenge and slot past the keeper.
