Lyon defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 to set up a UEFA Women’s Champions League final showdown with VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Lyon had three first-half chances which saw Nikita Parris tuck one just wide of the far post, then neither Lucy Bronze or Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir could enough on headed efforts at goal.

Kadidiatou Diani was on target for PSG but it was a simple save for Sarah Bouhaddi.

A decisive few minutes came midway through the second half, as Grace Geyoro received a second caution for bringing down Lucy Bronze and from Amel Majri’s resulting free kick, Wendie Renard headed home.

PSG were given some hope though as Parris also walked for a second caution after needlessly bringing down Bouhaddi.

Although PSG did exert plenty of pressure thereafter, very little led to any real threat to Christiane Endler’s net.

Lyon then continue their defence of the trophy in a record ninth final, looking to make it five titles in a row when meeting Wolfsburg.

Kick off on Sunday is 7pm (UK time) with the game live on BT Sport 1 from 6.30pm.
