Cardiff Met pipped ZNK Pomurje with a very late goal in Slovenia, whilst in the same group Hibernian began their UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win over FC Nike.
Colette Cavanagh hit home Hibs’ opener against their Georgian opponents from outside the area on 17 minutes, before Jamie-Lee Napier’s brace in the last quarter of the game sealed the points. Napier chipped the out-rushing goalkeeper and in added time beat her on the near post.
Hibs next face Cardiff Met on Saturday morning, the Welsh champions having started with a 1-0 victory thanks to Naomi Clipston’s 88th minute deft chip.

Maddie Schupbach hit the post for Met early on and Emily Allen’s shot struck the keeper and went out for a corner.
Pressure from Pomurje after the hour mark saw them hit the bar with a header off a free-kick and then force Estelle Randall into a tip over.
Double defeat for Irish sides
Linfield went down 4-0 against LSK Kvinner as the Swedish side struck four times in a 17-minute spell in the first half. Elise Thorsnes scored twice, with one each from Therese Asland and Meryll Abrahamsen.
Linfield play PAOK of Greece next and finish up against group hosts Anderlecht on Tuesday.
Wexford Youths suffered a 3-1 defeat to Albanian side Vllaznia despite taking the lead on 19 minutes through Edel Kennedy. Vllaznia hit back hard with three goals before half-time.
