Toni Duggan struck twice for Barcelona as they won 3-0 away to Glasgow City, recording an 8-0 aggregate score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 16.
A ball from the back by Melanie cut right through the Scottish champions, finding Duggan who confidently tucked the ball past Lee Alexander in the home goal on 13 minutes.
Barca struck twice in a six-minute spell straight after half time, the first finished by Alexia Putellas from Vicky Losada’s pass, Duggan then bringing down a ball into the box from Andressa Alves before sweeping home.
Slavia Praha. the only survivors from the qualifying round, also went through despite being held to a goalless home draw by Rosengård. Their 3-2 away win a fortnight ago proved enough against the team that eliminated them 6-1 in 2016-17.
Barca and Slavia join holders Lyon, PSG, Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Lillestrom in the hat for both the quarter-final and semi-final draws on Friday 9 November (1pm UK time).
