#UWCL: Atlético and Lyon Women win through to last 16

Atlético Madrid and holders Lyon are the first two teams to progress from the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 32.

Lyon 3-0 Juventus (Agg: 6-2)
Atlético Madrid 5-0 Servette (Agg: 9-2)

Lyon saw off Juventus last night, after twice trailing to them in the 1st leg, to make it 24 wins out of 24 in the 12 seasons of the round of 32.

Leading 3-2 from the game in Italy, Dzsenifer Marozsán extended Lyon’s overall lead with a 21st-minute opener.

Juve remained in the tie though until the dying minutes, when Melvine Malard and Janice Cayman took the score to 3-0 on the night, 6-2 on aggregate.

Atlético Madrid ended Servette’s debut campaign, last season’s quarter-finalists adding five times to their 4-2 away victory over the Swiss side.

Leicy Santos opened the scoring and Amandine Soulard conceded an own-goal on half-time, Aissatou Tounkara, Toni Duggan and Amanda Sampedro adding one each in the second half.

The round of 16 draw is on 16 February with the ties scheduled for 3/4 & 10/11 March.
