Two big clashes around top of FA Women’s National League

There are two big games around the top of the FA Women’s National League on Sunday, as Wolves face Burnley and Oxford United welcome Watford.

Northern Premier defending champions Wolves are goal-difference ahead of visitors Burnley, Oxford United are unbeaten in the Southern Premier ahead of taking on fourth-placed Watford.

There were two midweek fixtures, Brighouse Town drew 1-1 at home to Huddersfield Town on Wednesday watched by 211. Laura Elford won and converted a 68th-minute penalty but Sophie John equalised late on for the hosts. Cardiff City Ladies hit Keynsham Town for six on Thursday, Chloe Lloyd’s hat-trick helping them go to top of the table.
