Worthing clinched the London & South East League Premier Division title with a 2-1 defeat of AFC Acorns on Wednesday 24 May.

The victory was witnessed by a crowd of 200, as the Rebels secured a place in the FA WNL for the first time.

Worthing needed the win to knock Ebbsfleet United off the top of the table and were on course, leading through Charlotte Carter at half time.

Their Horley-based opponents levelled soon after the restart but Sammy Quayle quietened any nerves, restoring the advantage on 55 minutes.
